Students: Have you seen Lucky the Leprechaun? He went for a walk around the school and must have gotten lost! If you find him Please bring him to the office for a sweet treat.

Seniors:  Make sure you are taking a look at the scholarship doc in your Google Drive.  There are several scholarships with upcoming deadlines.  The Jack W. Thompson scholarship application was just added to the document which is a scholarship several of you have asked about.  Please see Mrs. Hoffer if you have any questions.

Student Council: “Make A Wish” fundraiser. The class who has the most money in the jugs outside the principal’s office wins a day out of Advisory. Contest ends the 27th of March.

Announcement: The parking lot between the old J and S Building and the green shop is off limits to students.  The owners have requested that students no longer park there.  There may be tickets issued if students continue to park in the lot.  It is a private lot, so they are asking that it not be used by high school students any longer. Thank you.

Students: If you are interested in being an umpire for ABC Baseball please come to the Principal’s office and sign up. We will run sign ups until April 3rd.

Juniors:  If you are interested in representing DCHS at the American Legion Girls or Boys State program in June, please stop at the principal's office to pick up an application.  Girls and Boys State is a fun government-in-action program where students from across the state come together to learn about local, county and state government processes.  Applications are due March 28th.

Lunch for today:  tuna or egg salad sandwich with potato chips, fruit, veggie, & milk or Salad bar.

Congratulations to Kaylyn Hellman, Logan Phipps, Savannah Toms, JaeLeigh Mittlestaed, and Tylee Dey for taking Silver and to Charlee Casey for taking Bronze in their competitions this week at FCCLA State Conference!

MATH COMPETITION: The math competition is TODAY in Sidney. The bus will be loading right after 6th period. Make sure you have money to eat or have something packed for dinner. If you haven't turned in your green sheet, give it to the office before you leave today. See Mrs. Cobb if you will NOT be able to attend the meet today.

Teen of the Quarter: Applications for Teen of the Quarter are available in the principal’s office for juniors and seniors. Applicants will be judged on the following achievements: Character, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Scholarship. The applications need to be signed by 2 teachers and attach a wallet size photo. Two applicant’s will be selected. If you are selected you will receive a commemorative coin, and $100.00 Savings Bond. Deadline for the applications is today, March 19th, 2018 by 3:30 P.M.

Juniors:  Room assignments for the ACT scheduled for Tuesday, March 20th are posted on Miss Broaddus' door and on the wall by the student lounge on 2nd floor.  Please check that your name is included on the list and look to see which room you will be testing in.  When the 8:10 bell rings in the morning on the 20th, you should report to your assigned room.  Bring ONLY an approved calculator and #2 pencil.  Leave your cellphone, food, drink, bag, books, etc. in your locker as they will NOT be permitted in the testing room.  Please see Mrs. Hoffer if you have any questions.
